At the dental clinic I went to in high school, they said orthodontic treatment would make my teeth look tipped inward, so they told me not to do it So I lived thinking, of course orthodontic treatment isn’t possible for me
Then I was stressed about my protruding mouth and recessed chin So I looked into double-jaw surgery, protruding-mouth surgery, And even ways to bring the chin forward with a T-osteotomy
But then at the last plastic surgery clinic I went to, "This looks like it can be corrected with orthodontic treatment. You don’t need to go as far as double-jaw surgery"
They said that, so I was like, what!! and immediately looked for an orthodontic clinic It was orthodontic treatment for a protruding mouth Clinic A said it would be a difficult orthodontic case Clinic B said the director specialized in protruding-mouth cases and was confident So I proceeded at Clinic B
I think it was the best choice I’ve made in my life lol With orthodontic treatment, my protruding mouth went in And once that went in, my recessed chin was automatically resolved
