I had surgery yesterday!

I had surgery yesterday! I raised the bridge of my nose by about 2 mm with silicone, had an osteotomy because my nasal bones were wide, and used ear cartilage for the nasal tip! They said it was sedation anesthesia, so I thought I wouldn’t wake up, but apparently you wake up and fall asleep again. But I woke up once and then couldn’t sleep the whole time. I could hear everything the doctor and nurse were saying, there was a burning smell like they were burning something inside my nose, and when they were stitching, it stung, so I exaggerated a bit and said it hurt. Maybe because I couldn’t open my eyes, I wasn’t scared, but it was a little hard having to stay completely still. After the surgery ended, the anesthesia hadn’t worn off, so I couldn’t even walk by myself, and with help from the nurse, I moved to the recovery room in a wheelchair. Even after 30 minutes of IV fluids, I still couldn’t come to my senses, and since I had a guardian, they supported me and I got into a taxi. I was so out of it that I just threw on my clothes, and when getting in and out of the taxi, even though I had brought a mask, hat, and glasses, I couldn’t put on any of them. I just kept thinking, I want to get home quickly, I feel like I’m going to throw up, I want to get out of the taxi and get some air. Then when I got home and tried to rest, I had a second mental breakdown because I couldn’t breathe at all because of the gauze packed in my nose. I was finally going to rest, but the pillow was too high and uncomfortable, I couldn’t turn onto my side because of where the ear cartilage was taken, and they said the gauze inserted after osteotomy was to hold the shape and absolutely not to remove it, so I couldn’t touch it. My mouth was completely dry, but because I couldn’t breathe through my nose, even drinking water was painful, and my nose kept running too, so honestly I think that was the hardest part! I barely got through the day, waking up once every hour. Now I went to the hospital, had the gauze removed and disinfected, and am on my way home. Even on the way home, I got so annoyed because of my runny nose that I went to the subway station and blocked my nose again with tissue.
