It's already March of last year. Maybe because I did unusually a lot of outdoor activities the year before last, freckles suddenly appeared all over my face in a mess, and they had turned almost as black as moles. I made up my mind and got laser treatment for the first time so I could seriously start job hunting.
At the dermatologist in Hongdae, ㅅㅍㅂㄱ, it was 270,000 won as a package for removing moles, freckles, and milia, and for freckles, I would have needed additional treatment depending on the progress.. At ㅅㅋㅊㅇ, if my boyfriend and I did it together as a package, it was 820,000 won per person for 3 sessions of combined laser treatment. (Originally it seems to be around 1.5 million for 5 sessions?) I had quite a lot of acne marks too, so in the end I decided on combined treatment at ㅅㅋㅊㅇ!
[Treatment preparation] 1. First, I washed my face thoroughly in the care room, took photos, and then waited with my heart pounding. 2. For the first session, they also removed moles as a complimentary service. Since it was done under anesthesia, it hurt the least out of the whole thing.
[Treatment order === takes about 30 minutes] 1. Excel V to remove overall redness such as acne marks and faint blemishes -------->>>> a feeling like needles stabbing my whole face x dozens of times 2. Accolade focused only on removing freckles ----------->>>> a feeling like a small electric shock device zapping my whole face x dozens of times 3. Pore-shrinking laser focused on the nose and surrounding area -------------->>>> a feeling like being burned with a soldering iron x several times ...... Seriously, after experiencing needle torture, electric shocks, and even soldering-iron torture without anesthesia for 30 minutes, cold sweat runs down your back... My boyfriend, who got it with me, also said it hurt so, so much...... Once you get it once, from the 2nd session onward it becomes a bit terrifying....... 4. When the treatment ends, you go back to the care room, get a soothing pack, and rest for 20 minutes.
[After treatment] 1. For about 3 days, there are severe bright-red dotted marks all over the face, so avoid outdoor activities. 2. On days 4-9, scabs are present. 3. After about 10 days, all the scabs come off and your face is noticeably cleaner! 4. I completed a total of 3 sessions at intervals of about 3 weeks.
[Effects and duration] 1. The freckles became clearly lighter from the first session, and after the 3rd session, they were almost all gone. Compared with the small, very black ones, the larger and fainter ones seem to last longer because they need to be broken up a lot with toning. To remove them perfectly, it seems you need about 5 sessions. 2. Red spots? caused by dilated blood vessels on the face also improved a lot, and overall my face just became clear, glowing, and clean. To the point that everyone I met asked if I was really bare-faced and complimented me, saying my skin was really good... hehe 3. The duration seems to be about 6-10 months if you are careful about applying sunscreen.! Thanks to it(?), I got a job within a few months and became worn down, so from month 6 the glow disappeared from my face, but the freckles and redness have stayed gone. Newly appearing acne of course needs to be managed separately..! 4. Even my boyfriend, who used to be negative about spending money on skin, saw the definite effects, so both of us have 100% intention to repurchase(?). However, the money is one thing, and honestly it was so painful that I think we'll save it and do it once together before getting married. People with social/work lives need to choose the treatment date carefully too (around Friday?), because once scabs form it's still okay, but for 3 days after the treatment your face is pretty messed up..
They say pretty skin makes you look several times prettier, so I highly recommend trying it once before getting a job or before marriage! The cost, pain(?), and effects would probably be similar at any clinic. hehe
