Over 4 years, after going through restoration + re-restoration + secondary canthoplasty + dog-ear excision, my eyes have become close to my natural eyes. After restoration, re-restoration, secondary canthoplasty, and dog-ear excision can all be done free of charge as after-service. The clinic doesn't bring it up first and offer to do it, but if you request it after 6 months, they just do it for you. So after restoration, don't get disheartened because your eyes became small and go to another clinic; get secondary canthoplasty here. They just do it without arguing over right or wrong, so don't be scared. If there is a dog-ear on the upper eye line, make sure to ask them to excise that too. They may also try to flatten it with laser + triamcinolone injections, but it only makes the eyes red for no reason and interferes with daily life. It flattens briefly, then protrudes again as it heals, so just excise it right away. I went to multiple dermatology clinics and spent two million won on scar lasers, supposedly to flatten the dog-ear, and it was the same. Absolutely do not do laser. It's useless. Because I kept creating wounds, only the side effect remains where my skin barrier is completely damaged and turns bright red even with minor irritation. Also, don't try to finish everything at once with minimal restoration; when closing it, close it firmly and then do secondary canthoplasty. I tried minimal restoration, but I was unsatisfied with how much it closed, so in the end I had re-restoration. And with restoration, in most cases the inner corner becomes rounded-pointed. Secondary canthoplasty is much better for shaping. The secondary canthoplasty turned out pointed, and of course it is slightly different from doing it on bare eyes that have an epicanthal fold. Also, because the incision and suturing were done again over the restoration scar at the inner corner, the area of the white scar did widen, but it's within a tolerable range. It was such a long journey, and I am finally finishing it.
