After the nose surgery, my nasal bridge was raised with silicone like an Avatar, and my nostrils weren’t even wide, but I guess they reduced both alar wings too, because the scars on both sides were severe. Both of my ears hurt as if they were going to tear. I guess they used ear cartilage too. They insisted they hadn’t done the nasal bridge, but later it started moving, so I had the silicone removed. I went in after being told they would remove everything, but they only removed the silicone..
The problem is that after the surgery, my nasal congestion was severe. Even after going around to ENT clinics, all I got was rhinitis medication prescriptions and it wasn’t resolved, so I lived like this for years. Actually, the ear cartilage is also visibly very crooked, so I thought I should remove it before more time passes. I started going to hospitals again and searched a lot in this community too.
When I look at people complaining of nasal congestion, it seems most of them had septal cartilage used. So I’m shocked. Then I wonder if, in my case, they used silicone, cartilage from both ears, and even septal cartilage, and I feel so wronged. It feels like I was subjected to human experimentation. That hospital disappeared a long time ago, so I can’t obtain any surgical records or anything.. My alar area has become very thick, and I wonder if ear cartilage and septal cartilage are stacked up there in layers.
Professor JHL looked at my CT and said my nasal septum is very deviated, and suggested removing the cartilage and doing septoplasty together. But the cost is expensive, and before the original surgery I had no nasal congestion at all, so I’m hesitant. I wonder if simply removing it somewhere else would relieve the congestion...
