If donated rib cartilage got absorbed once, next time it has to be autologous rib cartilage, right?

Still, since donor rib cartilage was absorbed once, wouldn’t autologous costal cartilage be the better choice..? What if donor rib is used and gets absorbed again

But if donor rib cartilage is absorbed, what does it become then?.. Does the nasal tip get lower? I’m also considering donor rib too.

If it were me, I’d go with autologous costal cartilage.

Honestly... since hard tissue isn’t my preference, using ear cartilage might feel smoother and better, right? But ear cartilage tends to drop, definitely. And still, using septal cartilage is hard when you need a lot of volume (East Asians like Koreans often have small septal cartilage...), plus septal cartilage is also hard. So if you don’t want droop, you need autologous costal cartilage. As for visibility, it’s okay if you choose a hospital that handles rib cartilage planning and the amount used well.

In these cases, they usually switch to autologous costal cartilage, so even for my first one, I decided to use autologous rib at the clinic. Honestly, I can’t fully trust this is a 100% answer, so I also chose it because they said if it drops within 3 months, they’d give a refund.

I’m also researching rhinoplasty, and I’m planning to use autologous costal cartilage.... Since this is my own tissue, I think the absorption rate is lower, so this seems the right thing to try. Is there a good hospital here in the community? I’m still considering a few options...

Wow, how long has it been since you had it done with donor rib? I’m also scheduled for donor-rib surgery at the end of March too.
