I was worried about my bulbous nose, so I went for nose surgery consultations, and I’ll share this for my records. I went to ㅂㄴㄴ, ㅎㅇㅂ, and ㅌㅈㅇ, and I plan to go to ㅁㅂ and 431 next. At ㅂㄴㄴ, I first talked overall with the consultant, then heard the surgical part explained by the director. The answers were plain, neat, and honest, so overall it wasn’t hard to understand. They asked if I had brought photos of the nose I wanted, but I forgot and didn’t bring any, so for now the director drew and showed me a design that they thought would suit me well. While doing that, they explained the surgical process. AS is for 1 year, and after surgery, they remove the splint, do dressing.. remove the cotton packing, and around a month later I come in to check the progress, they said. From the comment that they would take responsibility and pay attention to aftercare and AS, I got the feeling that they would really take care of me after surgery. At ㅎㅇㅂ, after seeing the consultant, I had a consultation with the director, and they seemed to prefer a natural and naturally glamorous feel. Recommended nostril base reduction. Just a very little. I didn’t hear anything like reducing by a few mm, but since this place does a lot of nostril base reductions, I kind of thought they would take care of it..? So I didn’t think to ask. They suggested an internal incision, and when I looked up reviews, it seems like there are more internal than external incisions here.. But then when I saw external incision reviews, the effect looked definite, so if I do it, I also feel like I want to say I’d prefer external incision. I’m conflicted. During the consultation with the director at ㅌㅈㅇ, I asked whether I absolutely needed nostril base reduction for my nose, and here they took a “not necessarily?” stance.. They said if I do it, a non-incisional method with just a slight amount would probably be enough, and from here I started getting really conflicted. They said I only need bulbous nose correction, and since ㅂㄴㄴ and this place both said that, I’m confused. This made me realize why people go to several clinics.. For the nasal tip, we decided to use septal cartilage and ear cartilage, and they said the left cartilage is better, so they would harvest from that side. According to the consultant, it differs by person where ear cartilage is harvested, but they said it really won’t hurt; but I’ve seen that some people are left with scars on the ear, so I’m also a bit conflicted about the material. I’ll go to the rest within this week.. Once I go, I’ll write again.
