Before <This is a past photo from before eye surgery in 2015> After <This is a recent photo from 2019, 3 years after eye surgery haha> Before my eye surgery, I had a bit of fat around my eyes and had thin inner double eyelids. But my mom said she should get me double-eyelid surgery.. In 2016, when I took a leave of absence during my sophomore year, I went to a hospital just in front of my neighborhood in Bucheon, waited because it was packed with people, had a consultation, and came back after booking the surgery right away.
At the time, I had absolutely no interest in plastic surgery, and was just dragged there by my aunt and mom... I didn’t look around here and there at all, and thinking back, I was really fearless lol Plastic surgery has a lot of side effects too For reference, I had non-incisional buried suture double-eyelid surgery, pinching method(?), and eye-shape correction!
Anyway.. During surgery it hurt so much so I think I bruised even more... I was going to upload a photo right after surgery too, but it seems to be on my old phone, so I don’t have it
It has been 3 years now, but around 6 months to 1 year after surgery, the double-eyelid thickness was still enough that you could tell I had surgery. Then it gradually got thinner and the swelling went down, and now my eyes look like no one knows I had surgery unless I say so lol I do like that it looks natural. As for the thickness of the double eyelid, um.. it’s similar to the thickness of the inner double eyelid I used to have, but anyway inner double eyelids basically looked like monolids, and now, even though it’s thin, anyone can see I have double eyelids lol But because I have some fat around the eyes, when I raise my eyes wide open(?) or open my eyes like that, the double eyelid looks like it disappears a bit, which is a little disappointing haha
In 2017, just once, my left double eyelid suddenly came undone overnight and became a lone monolid... Since it was during the semester, I was so flustered and worried, thinking, do I have to go through that painful surgery again and when will the swelling go down again? But after about two days, I woke up and it had come back.. The double eyelid that returned so mysteriously..
Conclusion.. It’s a non-incisional surgery that could come undone at any time but as of now, I’m satisfied and living well!
I became interested in nose surgery and happened to join this community, and I’m writing this post for a level-up too, but (actually, while looking at how to level up, I had the misconception that I had nothing to write in this surgery review board, so I guess I had even forgotten that I had eye surgery lol) Still, fortunately I remembered that I had surgery haha, so I’m posting like this~~ If I get the chance..
