I’m looking into hospitals for double eyelid revision + four-direction canthoplasty, and after almost two months of just browsing and doing online research, I’m planning to start in-person consultations from next week. When I first chose hospitals, my criteria were places in the Gangnam area of Seoul with a single director that only do eye plastic surgery, but there weren’t many options... Since most places do both basic eyes and nose, I put them on the list for now, narrowed it down again and again, and found about 7 places. Among those, once I filtered by 1. whether they had a blacklist history, 2. whether they have an anesthesiology department, and 3. whether they have CCTV, only two places were left I’m mentally overwhelmed I’ll ask when I go for consultations, but since I’ll only have sleep sedation briefly and then proceed with surgery under local anesthesia, in a double eyelid case like mine, would it just be the director doing it rather than an anesthesiologist....? Since it’s eye surgery, should I not think about whether there’s an anesthesiology department....? But if it’s a hospital that also does nose surgery, how should I understand it if they don’t have an anesthesiology department...? I’m just curious....

지나드 If you’re anxious, it’s right to include everything, but since mine was double eyelid surgery, I didn’t separately worry about CCTV or a specialist. I made my list based on 1-2 directors + experience / the director’s style / whether consultation with the director was possible
