Braces review without extractions

Mine wasn't that severe, but I got braces because I was self-conscious when I smiled. My front teeth were large, and my canines and lower teeth were crooked, so I decided to get orthodontic treatment. I wore braces for two years at an orthodontics specialist clinic in my neighborhood, and now I'm in retention with a retainer. When I was getting braces, I was quoted for extracting two upper teeth, but in the end I started without extractions. And I had never heard anyone say orthodontic treatment is painful, but it really felt like my teeth were going to break. My conclusion after doing it is that only people who really need it should get it, and it's better to avoid extractions if possible. As you get older, the spaces between your teeth weaken too, so they will gradually spread apart, and I think it's a loss if they're not there. A short and simple review.
