I lived for 30 years with no double eyelids, then suddenly got a partial double eyelid, so I was on a rushed clinic tour. This was the third clinic I visited. Since the consultation manager is in the same industry, I’m also picky about choosing clinics, but I’m the type who puts the post-op result first. First off, the coordinator was a robot, and the consultation manager was the worst, diagnosing me like they were the doctor themselves, saying it was definitely an incisional case and that if I could afford it, I should get lower blepharoplasty, etc. I was a coward about my first double-eyelid surgery and had no intention of incision, so I got upset and said I wanted to decide after talking to the surgeon, not the manager. They backed off and came in with the surgeon. After seeing the surgeon, they said buried sutures would be enough, and only suggested inner-corner surgery. At first I thought the recommended line was way too thick, so until the surgery day I kept saying I wanted it thin and natural. I had sedation, and because I wanted to reduce the cost burden, I said it was fine if my full face was shown, and asked whether I could apply as an eye model. The manager said something along the lines that I didn’t have a face good enough for that and that my eyes weren’t the kind that would come out well, lol In the end, my eyes turned out amazing. People around me, and even clients while I was working in consultations, ask about them a lot even though it’s a different field. I’m glad I listened to the surgeon right before anesthesia when they said a thin line would probably not look good and that we should trust the in-out line. Also, the marketing team asked for a selfie of my whole face for a review because the before-and-after difference was huge, which really irritated me lol anyway it turned out great
