Functional 2.90 million, cosmetic 3.30 million
Even though I had an appointment, I waited 1 hour I think they double-book appointments. The consultation fee is 10,000 won, and unlike other places, the order is director then consultant. Unlike other plastic surgery clinics, they seemed to prefer surgical methods such as grinding ear cartilage for grafting and using dermis. It’s good that they don’t use implants, but it didn’t seem like the surgical method suited me. On CT, I had a deviated nasal septum and hypertrophy of the nasal mucous membrane, and even though I said I don’t feel much discomfort in daily life, they said it should be corrected. Since functional rhinoplasty is reimbursed 60-100% by actual-expense insurance anyway, the cost itself isn’t an issue, but I’ve heard that doing a functional nose procedure together with cosmetic rhinoplasty when it isn’t really necessary can slow recovery and be bad, so I was confused. I had booked because I was expecting a virtual surgery simulation with Photoshop, but they don’t do it very meticulously. It sounds like they do it more carefully if you actually have surgery. Still, both the director and the consultant are kind. They answered what I asked in really great detail, and I thought it was good that they said AS would be possible anytime if the nose shape differs from the one planned in the original Photoshop simulation. My lower jaw is behind my upper jaw, but I don’t have a retruded chin; the director recommended a chin implant, but the consultant said she thought I didn’t need to do it!
