In the end, I had surgery at the second place I went to, but neither my mom nor I knew anything so I only consulted with the counseling manager and set a date; I did consult with the doctor on the day of surgery before going in, but thinking about it now, that was insane It wasn't a place specializing in hump noses or noses, and at the time I thought silicone was mandatory, not optional; I had open surgery, and the scar became quite large and is still there now. Fortunately, I'm on the short side, so if I cover it with concealer after makeup, not many people can see my scar from below, but when I'm standing on the subway and in various other situations, it does bother me.
