I came for a consultation about removing an implant because it had poked slightly through the inside of my nose. Right now I have silicone + ear cartilage + septal cartilage, and in the previous surgery the doctor had put in Medpor without my consent. I didn't know, but the fact that it had broken through means there is inflammation, and as a result contracture is progressing.. He said to remove the silicone and Medpor, leave my own ear cartilage + septal cartilage as they are, and harvest ear cartilage to lower the nasal tip. The director explained things calmly and asked if I had any questions. The protruding implant was only 1-2 mm, so visually it was hard to see unless I was lying on the bed, and he inserted a cotton swab to look, but he pushed it in too deeply, which was really uncomfortable. In the end he couldn't see it.. After the consultation, I spoke with the manager, and compared with other clinics, she asked all sorts of unnecessary things that no one had asked before, so I wasn't very impressed with her. The surgery method was actually what I wanted, but the cost was much higher than I expected, so I think I need to think about it more..
