I went in for a consultation to remove the silicone from the bridge of my nose and the ear cartilage from the tip of my nose. The doctor explained things surprisingly kindly and in detail. He wrote down everything I said in the chart and explained it back to me. I’m debating whether to remove everything or leave the tip in place, but he said that if the silicone is removed, my nose could tip upward, so it would be better to leave the tip and, if needed, use ear cartilage again later. That made me hesitate a bit. The anesthesia would be sleep anesthesia, and because it was an open approach, only part of the capsule would be removed, but if full capsule removal is needed during surgery, there would be an additional 500,000 won charge.
