Eye Surgery Considerations

A Classic Community Review

After getting a CT scan, the doctor used virtual printing based on the CT images and explained the most ideal angles and shapes while showing them on a monitor. After measuring the angles between the philtrum and columella, the nasal tip, and the glabella and nasal bridge, the doctor explained which areas needed to be how many degrees to achieve the golden ratio, then drew and adjusted them to fit that ratio and consulted in a way that avoided excess. The doctor said a customized implant of approximately 1.5 mm would be enough, and I liked that the explanation took a long time. I wondered whether to make it higher, but I think the doctor recommended a moderately natural look because making it higher would make the nose too large and it would be all people could see. The only consultation where the optimal nasal height was recommended after measuring the angles, including from the side-view CT. Lastly, the doctor also explained the materials well. I liked the doctor’s honesty about possible complications. The doctor seemed proud of the surgical results. I am looking at several clinics together, but I am really struggling to decide.
