I’d been interested in double eyelid surgery for a long time, but since I live overseas, I searched around online for several months so I could have the surgery during the period I’d be in Korea. I had KakaoTalk consultations with this clinic and another place, but the consultant at this clinic was so kind during the consultation and explained everything step by step and very carefully, so I was really grateful. Whenever I had questions, there were times I felt awkward asking, but they made me feel comfortable, and since I live overseas, they explained things well while taking my situation into account.. First, because I wouldn’t have much time in Korea, I sent photos through KakaoTalk. They said they might say I needed incision because my ptosis was severe, but since I wanted non-incisional, I proceeded with non-incisional ptosis correction + natural adhesion. I finally met the doctor for a consultation, and because I had ptosis, weak eye-opening strength, and maybe because my elasticity had decreased after giving birth twice, he recommended incision... But I was worried swelling might last a long time because I had plans, so I did natural adhesion, and I like it! After consulting with the consultant, I consulted with the doctor again, and decided on a natural in-out line. When I went to the changing room, changed clothes, and lay down in the operating room, I suddenly felt nervous.. But the nurse? people beside me helped me feel at ease and played something like the radio, so I relaxed a little. They said they would do local anesthesia after sleep anesthesia, and afterward I could slightly hear things and slightly felt something like brushing movements, but it didn’t hurt at all and it didn’t feel like I was 100 percent asleep. Everyone said they couldn’t tell I had it done.
The reason there is tape attached above my eyelids in the photo is that they said I had a habit of opening my eyes with my forehead, so they put this on so I could open them well with eye strength. I kept the tape on for 1 week.
For the first 2-3 days I did cold compresses, and for 2-3 days I did warm compresses. They said eye makeup was possible from 2 weeks, but I was worried it might affect settling, so I started eye makeup from 3 weeks. For those who want something natural, but also want to clearly improve their own complex when they look at themselves, definitely do it here!! They honestly told me that because my eye-opening strength was very weak, there was a high chance it could loosen... If I come to Korea next time with enough time, I want to do incision.
