Nose Surgery Reviews

A review from someone with thick skin and a bulbous nose

Who said it’s difficult to have a successful rhinoplasty if you have thick skin and a bulbous nose? So I worked really, really hard researching and visiting clinics, had surgery, and I’ll share how it turned out. 1. I chose autologous costal cartilage. Although it was my first surgery, I was told that costal cartilage would be good for support because my skin was thick. I went all in with autologous costal cartilage, and I’m satisfied with the result because my nose became slimmer and smaller. I was a little scared and asked whether another material would be possible, but they said the probability of it drooping soon would be high. 2. I visited almost every clinic known for many bulbous-nose reviews and glamorous styles. There actually weren’t as many clinics appearing for the keywords “bulbous nose + glamorous” as I expected. So I just visited them all. Some were ruled out during the consultation, while others remained in my top three until the end and were difficult to decide between. The clinics where I felt dissatisfied from the consultation had these things in common: they were very large, everyone except me seemed busy, and they were somewhat unfriendly (these days, there don’t seem to be any places that are openly rude). The ones I debated until the end had no overtreatment, similar quotes, and the coordinators never once pressured me to pay a deposit. The doctors also answered kindly even when I asked about rumors I had seen online. 3. Recovery after surgery. Since this was my first time, I don’t know what recovery would be like with another material, but autologous costal cartilage definitely hurts a bit at first. I guess it can’t be helped because they had to cut into the flesh to harvest the costal cartilage........ I never thought the cotton-pack discomfort everyone talks about would happen to me too, but I couldn’t get used to breathing through my mouth, my throat hurt, and it was extremely difficult. Still, when I thought that enduring about a week would let me live for the rest of my life with the nose I had surgery on instead of my original nose, I felt I could do it a hundred more times. I don’t know how you’ll view the process of choosing and deciding on my clinic, but I hope it helps.
