Nose Surgery Reviews

Two weeks after my first rhinoplasty—I wish I’d done it sooner T_T

Wow, it’s already been about two weeks since my rhinoplasty lol. Having a low nose was my biggest insecurity, so I’d been thinking about surgery for a long time T_T But whenever I considered actually doing it, I got scared, and it wasn’t cheap, so I kept putting it off... Then I thought it would be hard to take time off after getting a job, so I finally decided to have surgery this time!!! I originally had a low bridge and a somewhat blunt tip, so I wanted my nose to be higher overall. But I didn’t want it dramatically high—I wanted it natural while clearly improving my bulbous and low nose, you know? lol Since it was my first surgery, there was so much to research, and at first I didn’t even understand terms like silicone and septal cartilage, or implant-free surgery T_T I asked lots of questions during the consultation, and both the coordinator and director explained everything kindly, which I really appreciated. I was worried about many things because it was my first surgery, but after hearing the explanations, I felt less nervous... lol. After visiting several clinics, [Clinic A] was the one I liked most, so I had surgery there. I had silicone placed in the bridge and septal cartilage used for the tip, along with correction of the dorsal hump, bulbous tip, and short nose. I was extremely nervous beforehand T_T, and I had read that rhinoplasty causes a lot of swelling and bruising that lasts a long time, so recovery worried me the most. But after surgery, it was better than I expected lol... I don’t know whether it’s just my constitution, but I had very little swelling and the bruising disappeared quickly!! I was a little swollen only on day two, and on the other days it wasn’t as bad as I expected lol. Of course, having the nasal packing in on the first day was a little tough.. T_T Not being able to breathe through my nose was subtly stressful.. If you can just get through that part, life becomes manageable...... I turned on a humidifier because of the congestion, and I think it helped. The clinic told me not to blow my nose for a month, so I’m carefully cleaning things with cotton swabs! It’s only been two weeks, so it hasn’t fully settled yet, but I’m very happy because it seems to have turned out the way I wanted T_T I was worried that making it too natural might make the surgery feel pointless, but this is exactly the nose line I wanted, so I’m even more satisfied... It’s only been two weeks, so I wonder how it will look once the tip and residual swelling go down.... Before surgery I agonized and was so scared, but now that I’ve done it, I kind of wish I’d done it a little earlier lol T_T And my bank account is gradually becoming completely empty... T_T Everyone’s like this, right?
