Did I read 1,000 breast surgery review posts here? After a lot of back and forth, I finally had surgery two weeks before my wedding!
Consultation) Honestly, at first I went in thinking I should visit at least three hospitals, but after going to DSH, I paid right away.
First of all, there was Director Ok’s very confident consultation tone lol. Who wouldn’t make up their mind after hearing that..? I’m a suspicious Korean through and through, but after consulting with Director Ok, I felt completely at ease right away -> after consulting with the manager, I paid the deposit immediately.
After the consultation, they recommended Mentor Boost for me rather than Mentor Extra. They said Mentor Extra feels better to the touch than Mentor Boost, but if I lose weight, the wrinkles in Mentor Extra may become visible (rippling). (But there are people who get Mentor Extra too.. I think that’s due to what people in reviews often call skin elasticity? It seems to differ by person.)
I said I wanted a breast size that wouldn’t be too big and would look natural, so they fitted the implant for me and showed me the shape with a bra on. I thought my right breast was bigger, but after the consultation I learned that wasn’t the case for the first time lol;; What I felt during the consultation was that they were comfortable to talk to and really tried to explain things well.

I went in not thinking about underarm incision or inframammary incision, but after the consultation I was told that because there wasn’t a clear lower line/boundary under the breast, the inframammary incision would be better.
And because I had quite a bit of tissue in my breasts(?), they said they would do the surgery with a subfascial placement.. They explained it well, but I can’t remember, so I’m probably writing it down poorly sorry. The advantages are faster recovery and less pain! They also said cleavage comes together nicely. They said other people might want to do it this way but can’t.
Surgery day) I took the day off, went to an internal medicine clinic in the morning for an ECG and X-ray, then headed to the plastic surgery clinic. After 8 hours of fasting, the surgery was at 5 p.m., and after recovery I was discharged at 9 p.m..! I took the subway home by myself.
The next day after surgery) I grabbed the mattress next to the bed and barely managed to get up.. lol Lying down was fine, but getting up was really hard. But after taking my medicine, I went to work in the afternoon by subway for a meeting lol Is this the difference between inframammary and underarm incision..^^ When standing, honestly, aside from the bandage feeling tight, it wasn’t like it hurt terribly. It was more like, oh, it feels heavy.. it’s kind of uncomfortable.. it hurts a little?!
The painful feeling went away after about 3 days? And the aching when getting up seemed to last about a week.
One month after surgery) It doesn’t hurt, and now lying on my side isn’t very uncomfortable either! The scar is fading because I’ve been applying the ointment faithfully morning and night. They say I can wear any bra now, but according to the doctor, my body shape has my breasts set a bit apart? So they told me to wear a bra that brings them together. The nurse who helped with instructions recommended Venus as the best.
My ex-boyfriend, now husband, says the feel is still a little awkward lol I feel that way too, but.. still, I’m very satisfied so far, and since the hospital has been taking good care of me, I plan to trust them and keep following their guidance!
