I want to get revision blepharoplasty, but what should I say?

Even judged with makeup on, it doesn’t look that severe, but it seems a revision is clearly needed. The surgeon who did the first operation appears to have lacked skill. But with revisions, the more you go into it the more carefully you should pick a place. If you go casually just because you think it’s easy, you can end up worse off than before. Do not think about cost. You should go only to places where all three are met: a famous surgeon, a surgeon with strong academic credentials, and a renowned hospital. You probably should say you want the “sausage-eye” look on one side corrected. Depending on the doctor, surgery on both eyes may not be needed. So think of it as correcting only the sausage-looking eye by following the better-looking side. Do not do excision almost at all; ask whether it can be handled with eyelid-shape correction or just a crease-line revision. It seems your eyes are congenitally like a mild asymmetry (“cross-eye” style), and with eyelid-shape correction you should also equalize the eye size and make both symmetric. But when a naturally smaller eye is present, matching symmetry is usually difficult. One thing is certain: at this stage, it should be finished in one operation. Many clinics now say they will operate. If you compromise on price or things like that and do a rough surgery that goes wrong, life can get extremely entangled from that point on.

Oh, and when looking down, it doesn’t matter at all if the line looks thick. That line is the minimum line needed for you to look prettier, and aside from the congenitally small eye looking slightly loosened, the other eye is in okay condition. And that eye that looks loosened only looks odd because the two eyes aren’t symmetrical; aesthetically, it’s not extremely strange. In other words, it’s not a sausage eyelid, so don’t focus only on lowering the line no matter what. Just think of it as making the plumper side slimmer, similar to the side where the line is already thin and nicely set.

[@위슝] Estimated minimum is 350~400 for the eye part; if you only write the eye review, it may be in the 4~500 range. For hospitals: near Sinsa Station W?? (Seoul National), near Sinsa Station T?? (Korea University), near Gangnam Station E?? (top universities like Seoul National, etc.). These three alone should be enough. Don’t go to weird places. Go to top universities, famous hospitals, and places that take full aftercare responsibility, and a famous surgeon. If only one eye is operated on, it’ll be cheaper. Ask the doctor whether one-eye surgery is possible. Don’t ever do things like line lowering. If we correct just that bulky, out-of-round appearance, it should be enough.

[@위슝] Ambitious, yes. As makeup review, the eyes look “very pretty.” Fix only the chubby single-sided eye, and I want to avoid fat excision because I’m worried about side effects like those. Tell the doctor this and Consult only at the three top-university hospitals mentioned above; if you decide within those three, it can go well with cost savings and still come out fine. Know this: if you save 100~200 (ten-thousands) only to stay with a bad look for 1~2 years, and then pay much more for revision, it can run to 7~1000. So finish it at a famous hospital with top reputation in one go. Since only one-eye surgery can be done anyway, it’s right to think that can halve the cost.

I think I’ll go there first. 😭😭 And for the other side, it may look thin when I tense the eyes or open them a bit, maybe because of eye fat. [@위슝] You can do everything, so tell the doctor you came because this was difficult because of fat, and ask all the things you’re curious about. And don’t think first about what might droop later. Right now procedures like Shringk or the latest VRO machines for skin treatment are under 100,000 won per session, so invest just 300,000 won per year and get three sessions, even once a month. Also if you put 10~15 into Botox every 6 months, even over the whole face, you’ll look about 5 years younger and your face won’t sag. Just remember: even if you invest 300,000~400,000 won a year, that can still keep you looking younger for 5 years.

If you keep getting consultations at places that specialize in revision surgery and are especially good with sausage eyelids, you start to get a feel for it. Like, “Ah, if I get it done by this director, I think it might turn out okay” — that feeling comes. I really hope your revision eye surgery succeeds.
