One cheek looked fuller when I took photos, so I was concerned about facial asymmetry and went for a consultation.
I first asked whether a contour injection could adjust the difference between the two sides to some extent. They checked the volume of both cheeks separately and explained that not every difference caused by facial bone structure or muscles can be corrected with injections.
They also said that if the fat is located differently on each side, the area from which it is viewed may look different. I was also informed that swelling at first could actually make the difference appear greater.
I had high expectations because of the asymmetry, but it was helpful that they realistically explained what could and could not be done.
