- Reason for surgery: I kept feeling stressed because a lot of the lacrimal caruncle was visible in my left eye, so I had the surgery
- Surgical plan: Cover up a lot of the lacrimal caruncle on the left eye, and restore the right eye to its original position (with the aim of removing the nail-shaped scar)
- One-month progress 1. Before getting the stitches removed, for about one to two weeks, I applied too much eye ointment and didn’t manage it well enough to keep water out, so they said the skin had become swollen/softened. The skin was protruding unevenly between the stitches
2. After getting the stitches removed two weeks after surgery, maybe because of swelling, the front didn’t look closed off but looked opened up. And I thought the front shape had become ㄷ-shaped, so I almost lost my mind (I had hoped it wouldn’t move away from my original sharp-looking eye shape, but I thought it had become rounded into a ㄷ shape)
3. After around the third week, the red scar became more severe and the scar tissue became bumpy. Instead, the front seemed to be closing little by little, and my eye shape changed every day. It went back from a ㄷ shape to a sharp inner corner
4. Now it has been about a month plus another week, and in just a week, the red scar has also calmed down a lot. Of course, when I look in the mirror, it’s not like there’s no scar at all
Before surgery, I didn’t really notice it myself, but I had been told a few times that I looked like Jeon Jong-seo lol. But after the reversal, that Jeon Jong-seo vibe completely disappeared, so I felt a bit sad about that too. And in the early stage after surgery, I thought the inner corners of my eyes had been ruined into a ㄷ shape, so I sobbed like I had lost the whole world
Still, unlike what I worried about, after a month, I think the shape has returned to being sharp again, and the red scar also seems to be gradually disappearing
To be honest, I did like the chic image I had before surgery, so I do miss my pre-surgery eyes I still need to watch it a bit longer, but in the end, I’m relieved because I think the surgery turned out well…
