Before-before <before surgery> after-after-after <after surgery> It’s already been 9 months since I got facial contouring. I don’t want to get older, but why does time pass so fast;; Anyway, as the title says, it’s been 9 months since I had 3-part facial contouring, and to be really honest, even before surgery I don’t think my face was that hard to look at..... because I’d had a bit of cosmetic surgery besides facial contouring too lol So when I first said I was going to get facial contouring, people around me tried to stop me, saying I’d end up addicted to plastic surgery. But every time I looked in the mirror, the unevenness of my face shape bothered me so much, and I found myself looking up facial-contouring reviews all day -I think this is something people who get facial contouring have in common- then I just.. looked into it impulsively and went for it. I didn’t shave things down super dramatically; I had surgery only to the extent of thinking, I just want it to be refined a little more from here.
For consultations, I only went to famous places, and I went around with two-hour gaps between them without even eating properly.. lol Maybe because facial contouring is a major surgery, the price was a bit higher than other areas. Some places casually quoted 10 million won for all 3 parts, while one place quoted 6 million won. But places that were absurdly cheaper than the average made me uneasy, so I think I only looked at places with a reasonable price range. On top of that, I decided on the place that felt more trustworthy during the consultation.
I did 3 parts: cheekbones, square jaw, and chin. For the cheekbones, I had a trapezoid reduction, and for the chin, I reduced the chin length with a V osteotomy. Most people who get facial contouring seem most satisfied with their cheekbones, but I think reducing my chin was the godsend move lol Until the second day after surgery, it hurt so much I was crying, but the memory of that one day I was hospitalized has evaporated from my head; it hurt a lot, and more than anything, I think I was just out of it.. I was busy taking medicine and falling asleep, so when I was discharged later, I saw a ton of missed calls and KakaoTalk messages. I live with my smartphone, but right after surgery I was forced into a dopamine detox.
Of course there are a lot of food restrictions, but because not being able to eat properly made me so sensitive and I felt like I was going crazy, I didn’t do exactly what the hospital told me. After a week, I ordered risotto, sweet potato mousse, and jajangmyeon, let them get soggy, and ate them like that. Honestly, I felt kind of defeated, but while enduring day by day like this, sensation gradually came back and the nerves recovered. I didn’t have much swelling, so at one week I wore a mask and walked around fine, and after two weeks I could go around without a mask. Now, of course, all the swelling is gone and it has completely settled like my own face, but I still don’t know about sagging. I don’t do any special care, but maybe it was fixed well, because I don’t particularly feel like anything has sagged, so I think I got lucky.
This is a surgery review pursuing a refined look.
