Around September 2024, I began looking into revision rhinoplasty. I saw the clinic’s blog saying it had performed closed rhinoplasty for a long time, along with before-and-after photos, and the results looked good, so I trusted them. After consultation, I was told surgery was possible and decided to proceed.
On October 12, 2024, I underwent revision rhinoplasty after paying 27.5 million won, including stem-cell treatment. The next day, when I went to the clinic, they said a material called mesh had come out of my nose and asked me to pay an additional 1.5 million won to handle it. I paid.
The wound inside my nose did not heal. The clinic claimed this was because I had failed to manage it properly. Around November 20, 2024, the skin attached inside came off. The clinic said the mucous membrane had weakened while removing the mesh, and on November 26 said a skin graft was necessary, so I paid another 2 million won and had surgery.
After that, the columella, the pillar between the nose and upper lip, gradually turned dark red. The clinic said it was a circulation problem. Two weeks later, the grafted skin came off again. The clinic said it had not properly taken. So I had another skin graft.
At the time, they said, “Let’s try to save the skin with stem-cell treatment,” and gave me sedation for the treatment. While I was asleep, the clinic manager woke me and said I needed another skin graft and had to pay an additional 2 million won. I paid while barely awake from anesthesia, was sedated again, and underwent surgery.
But afterward I learned that they had done more than a simple skin graft: they apparently also performed septal reconstruction, nasolabial angle correction, removed my existing autologous costal cartilage and replaced it with donor rib cartilage, and removed the silicone. It is absurd and I cannot understand it.
After that, my nose became disastrously damaged. On January 7, 2025, the clinic said my nose was not regenerating and that the columella had contracted. I paid 500,000 won for anesthesia and underwent surgery to take skin from my scalp and graft it. A test of pus collected from my nose around this time detected bacteria in the Bacillus group.
In the end, despite repeated skin grafts, the columella continued to contract and collapse. Later, because of personal circumstances, I could not visit the clinic in person for a while, so my family went instead, explained the situation, and asked the clinic to perform revision surgery when I returned. The clinic reportedly agreed.
After my circumstances were resolved, I contacted the clinic again, but making an appointment did not go smoothly. I asked whether the appointment my family had made could be changed. They replied, “It’s our day off today, so we’ll check when we come in tomorrow,” but did not contact me. When I contacted them again, the clinic had unilaterally canceled the appointment. I told them I had never asked them to cancel it.
When I tried to make another appointment, I was told it would only be possible several months later. After repeatedly requesting treatment, I visited the clinic on July 6, 2026. The clinic said there was no particular problem with my nose, including the columella ^^ When the director did not explain the CT images, I asked for an explanation while looking at the screen. They said the director had left five minutes earlier and that I could see him on December 3.
They also said that if I wanted another surgery, I would have to pay 13.6 million won for materials plus 500,000 won for anesthesia. Since anyone could see that my nose had serious problems, I went to a university hospital. I was told that I had a perforation inside the nose, tissue necrosis, and columellar collapse, and that I needed revision procedures such as a free flap at the university hospital, with treatment expected to take two years. The estimated treatment cost is 300 million won. The total amount I paid the clinic was 33,388,000 won.
I requested a refund of 2.2 million won because I had not received two of the stem-cell treatments I initially paid for, but they initially refused. Then, after a recent clinic video scandal broke, I requested the refund again, and only then received the 2.2 million won back.
Since then, I have received neither treatment nor contact from the clinic. For reference, after about two months without contact, a formal legal notice arrived. This is the closed-rhinoplasty clinic promoted by a famous influencer, and there are dozens of victims. I am currently protesting near Nonhyeon in Gangnam. During the protest, Gangnam Police Station called and told me to come in because the clinic had filed a complaint.
The accusations are defamation, blackmail and intimidation, and obstruction of business. All I did was request a refund, yet they are calling it blackmail and obstruction of business lol. I was frustrated, so I decided to post this. Please understand that parts are written in a terse diary-like style.
