Before before before after On the day of surgery, I was a little? nervous, so even though I had been fasting since the day before, I didn’t feel hungry at all. But I think I was able to overcome the nerves because I was sure I would be satisfied after the surgery. Right before surgery, the doctor sketches on my face. At this time, the doctor told me this is how the surgery would be done and asked if I thought I would be satisfied. Everyone, this is your last chance to make changes, so please check carefully before proceeding. I said I wanted more shaved off, but the doctor said that could make it look like a dog jaw.. so I immediately decided to proceed as planned. haha After surgery, you wake up looking like that, with an ice pack, a band (compression band), and a blood drain attached. The first thought I had was that my throat felt quite rough and stuffy, and it was very dry. I think they said it’s because they insert an oxygen tube? into the throat (honestly, I don’t know the details). I really wanted to drink water, but after surgery I couldn’t drink water for about 8 hours? and I couldn’t sleep either, so I stayed thirsty the whole 8 hours. This was really painful lol;; I also got an extra injection to reduce pain in the middle. After 8 hours I could drink water, but I drank by drawing water up with a syringe and just slightly wetting my throat. I remember it hurt then too. It was comforting that the nurses checked on me every hour. When they came, they checked my temperature and blood pressure before leaving. That early morning, I was so cold and in pain that they gave me some kind of medication. They definitely took care of me. But! This level of pain? I had expected it to some degree, and I knew the satisfaction after surgery would be greater, so I was happy while being in pain lolol I’ll come back with surgery review 3~
