Before/after I really thought, “This is my last surgery,” so I looked into it carefully before getting it done!! This was my 3rd surgery. At first, 10 years ago, I had silicone inserted, and 3 years ago, I had the silicone replaced and had surgery using septal cartilage and ear cartilage,,, But as time passed, the nasal tip started to droop a little. People who know, know.. once it catches your eye, you keep worrying about it. So I looked around at different hospitals and ended up having surgery!! Conclusion: I’m so satisfied right now!!!!!
Since it was a third-time surgery, I went to a lot of hospitals, and maybe because it was revision surgery, everyone recommended autologous costal cartilage or donated rib cartilage. Rib cartilage scared me too.. and recovery was an issue, so I didn’t really feel like doing it But the director I went to said that, if possible, we should try to make maximum use of the remaining cartilage and reuse it, and if it wasn’t enough, we could additionally harvest ear cartilage and use that. And as everyone here who looked him up would know, the director had almost over 20 years of experience, and since he specializes in noses, I think I just trusted him and went ahead with it lol
So this time, I had the silicone replaced once more, used cartilage inside the nose and ear cartilage, and also had nostril/alar lifting, alar base reduction, and rhinitis treatment! At first, I was really worried because the scar around the nostril/alar area seemed quite noticeable, but now it’s totally unnoticeable..!! I acknowledge the director’s hand skills... It made me think this is why experience matters.
If you look at the post-op photos, it’s defined, but the nasal tip is round and natural, so I’m really satisfied. It just feels like my original nose!! I’m so grateful that he designed it to suit my face shape too My rhinitis also improved perfectly, so seriously, being able to breathe is such a whole new world....!!! At this point, this counts as a successful final revision rhinoplasty, right??? hahaha
