I had nasal tip surgery around August last year (using septal cartilage). Even after the surgery was finished, at the point when bleeding should have stopped, blood kept coming out, so they said it might be inflammation. I visited almost every day after surgery and got antibiotic IV drips. Then on day 6 or 7 after surgery, even on the day they removed the splint and checked the condition of my nose, I was still bleeding. In the end, they decided to open it slightly again to wash out the inflammation, and they did it right away that day. Since they weren’t opening my nose to raise it, but simply opened and closed it for irrigation, the nasal tip height inevitably had to come down a little, and the result was also just so-so. Honestly, I don’t think I have much satisfaction with the surgical result. I felt disappointed but just went about daily life, and the area around my nasal tip was so hard. I wondered if this was normal after surgery, so I visited the clinic, and they said it did seem a bit hard and prescribed medicine, so I took it. But that medicine had ZERO effect. After a year passed, I visited the clinic again and asked about revision surgery, and they said if I do it, they would now use ear cartilage. But when I went for consultations at other clinics and said, “The clinic where I had my first surgery says they’ll use ear cartilage,” they told me that using ear cartilage for the nasal tip has almost no effect and it will definitely come down, so my expectations and trust in the clinic where I had my first surgery have pretty much hit rock bottom..
