I’m posting this now because it’s almost been 1 year since my nose surgery! I decided to have surgery mainly because I naturally had a bulbous, upturned nose. Since I live overseas, it wasn’t easy to research clinics, but I studied as much as I could and put in a lot of legwork online. After arriving in Korea, I visited 10 clinics over 2 weeks and chose one before having surgery!
First of all, I’m very, very satisfied with my nose surgery I didn’t get 100% of the line I wanted, but I think no surgery is ever 100% satisfying (especially nose surgery), so even being about 70% satisfied feels like a success to me.
The biggest change after the nose job is definitely confidence, hehe.. I also heard a lot that my face looked smaller after the surgery (nothing else on my face was done), and people said my overall vibe changed completely, so I got a lot of compliments! But lol, after the nose surgery I keep noticing other things too? Things like my face shape... and my lips looking pinched, so I got lip filler.. and fell into a cycle. Of course not everything applies to me!
And I used donated rib cartilage, and it still surprises me how firm it is My nose became completely adapted only around 4 months after surgery? I’m not someone who constantly fusses over my nose, so from 2 months after surgery I was washing my face really hard, picking boogers, and even banging on it with a cushion like pow pow pang pang pong lol. Ah, but I did get one side effect: one nostril’s airflow is blocked by about 50%.. so when I go to Korea this time, I’m going to get it checked.
Even with those side effects, I’m satisfied, but I want to say this is not a surgery where everything is perfect! Before surgery, everyone should study a lot and look into as much as they can on their own. That way you won’t regret it later + revision surgery is insanely expensive
