Orthodontic treatment review

I originally didn't have snaggle teeth, but I was missing two permanent lower teeth. So I managed with baby teeth, but there was an obvious gap right in the middle, which didn't look good aesthetically, and I personally had a huge complex about it, so I started orthodontic treatment in high school. Back then, I didn't know what was good, so I just went with a friend to the clinic they were going to and did it there. I don't remember whether my asymmetry was severe before orthodontics, but based on now, doctors say my asymmetry is severe lol I just think, if I had known about communities like this back then, maybe I would have looked into it more and gone to a good clinic for orthodontics?? Also, my upper tooth was malformed, and I got an implant in the empty space in my lower teeth. After orthodontics, they put in a retainer, right? The one you're supposed to wear for life. They didn't give me that lol. If it were now, I'd complain, but it's already been several years, so it's awkward to argue about it... Honestly, it feels like it made no difference.. If I could go back to that time, I think I would have skipped orthodontics and gotten laminates instead..
