I feel like my current nose may have developed contracture, but I wasn’t sure from what I could tell, so I went for consultations at two hospitals. I’m so torn
First hospital: ㅍㄹㅇㅂ Even though I didn’t mention it first, they immediately picked up on the problems with my current nose, and said I need correction of the issues + a newly designed line + donated rib cartilage. But they said there are other problems, but it’s not contracture.
During the consultation, they designed it well in the nose shape I wanted, and it’s also a place famous for creating pretty lines, so I like this one the most, but the part where they said it’s not contracture bothers me
Second hospital: ㄱㄱ Here too, even though I didn’t mention it first, they immediately picked up on the problems with my nose and explained them well, but here they said it’s true that contracture has started. They said it would be better to keep the existing line, and only do correction of the issues + maintain the existing line + use ear cartilage (no need to use donated rib cartilage, and they said even if I keep the existing line, the issues would be improved so the line would look prettier)
Also, while looking at my nose CT, ㄱㄱ showed me that there seemed to be a small foreign substance? at the tip of my nose, and said they’d have to open it up to know for sure, but during the revision surgery they would remove that as well.
The nose line at ㅍㄹㅇㅂ is the most my style, so if I only look at the line, I want to do it there.
But the fact that I’d have to use donated rib cartilage, that they said it’s not contracture, and that they didn’t check the foreign substance inside my nose kind of bothers me.. Should I go around to more places..?? I should probably go back to ㅍㄹㅇㅂ for another consultation too, right?
It would be really, really great if you could also recommend hospitals that are good at revision rhinoplasty..!!
