So I had a forehead implant inserted for cosmetic reasons because I wanted a prettier line, and afterward it wasn’t 100% satisfying, but I lived with it feeling reasonably satisfied for 10 years.
But as time passed, I started to notice a little bit of shape change. There were no issues in daily life, but as the beauty trend changed, and because a forehead that looked too round seemed to make my impression a little stronger, I started to think more and more that I should have the implant removed.
Usually, when you look at people who have filler removal or implant removal, they seem to get all kinds of side effects, right? But that wasn’t the case for me. Rather than symptoms like blood or fluid collecting in the forehead, bumpiness, and so on, what made me want removal the most was that as I got older, my forehead looked wider, the line from the implant looked unnatural, and my eyes also kept getting pulled upward by the forehead, which caused several kinds of discomfort.
People who are looking into implant removal probably know this, but honestly there aren’t that many hospitals that mainly do removal, and the cost is really high... Compared with other surgeries, the price is also expensive, and I was worried the surgery might not go well, so I looked into it a lot.
The hospital I had surgery at had a chief director who was well known for lifting procedures, and they were also mentioned for filler and implant removal. So I wasn’t originally very interested in a forehead lift, but after consulting with the doctor, I was told that a stuffy feeling in the eyes and forehead wrinkles can appear as symptoms caused by the implant when it descends ^^
If you look at my eyes before surgery, you’ll understand. Even though my eyes are fairly large, they looked stuffy... The line also looked very narrow, and the distance between my eyebrows also seemed narrow. I was told a forehead lift could improve that, so after thinking about it, I decided to do it.
Since a forehead lift can also make the forehead length wider, I had reduction done as well while I was at it..
As you can see from the photos, by around 2 months and 2 weeks, the swelling had definitely gone down a lot~ I actually think a forehead lift is one of those surgeries you have to look at over a fairly long period. It is definitely not a surgery to take lightly. So I hope people in their early to mid-20s think about it more carefully ^^
To begin with, if I just mention the side effects I experienced briefly,
headache / no sensation / tingling scalp / uneven forehead / eyes stinging..
First of all, the headache is reall~~~~~y severe. I honestly thought something had gone wrong with the surgery.. it lasted a pretty long time.. Apparently it’s because they’re not just pulling the skin, but also lifting the muscles and everything else with them, so pain is to be expected.. I really called the manager crying, haha...
And with forehead reduction, the pain isn’t severe, but because the incision line is large, scar care has to be done carefully. They said they would avoid the hair follicles where the scalp grows and do it properly, so I was less worried, but the incision was bigger than I expected, so I was scared at first. Now it’s barely noticeable.. The hair still hasn’t grown much across that line yet ^^~~
