Before surgery, I thought the tear trough ligament would all disappear and that the dark circles would completely disappear too.
After having the surgery, when I take photos, even to me it looks like the tear trough is almost gone, and the dark circles look improved.
But when seen in real life, there isn’t much improvement in the under-eye groove ligament (Indian band?). The dark circles improve as the bulging disappears, but they don’t disappear much.
Of course, there is a difference when taking before-and-after photos, but the conclusion is that it isn’t as dramatic as rhinoplasty or eye surgery.
This is for under-eye fat repositioning only, and I think it might be different if under-eye fat grafting is done.
Anyway, if someone says the under-eye groove ligament and dark circles will disappear with under-eye fat repositioning alone, I’m sure that’s not true. If you look up reviews around you, there are quite a lot of posts like this.
