Eye Surgery Reviews

My dad’s eye surgery review

As my dad got older, his drooping eyelids and hollow upper and lower eye areas made him always look tired, and his expression seemed more intimidating. I had suggested surgery before, but whenever I brought it up he would ask what surgery I meant. Then he seems to have become interested after seeing a friend who had lower blepharoplasty, and suddenly said he wanted to visit a clinic. For his birthday, I went with him for a consultation, and the doctor said his ptosis was fairly severe. He therefore had lower blepharoplasty, incisional ptosis correction, and microfat grafting to the upper and lower eye areas. I’m posting this review.

Since it wasn’t my own surgery, I visited many clinics and compared them carefully. In the end, I decided a private clinic specializing in eye surgery would be best, and chose [Clinic A]. The good thing was that the doctor personally handled the entire design consultation. The coordinator was kind too, but I felt the doctor should explain the surgical details, so that seems to be why I chose this place. The doctor examined his eyes directly and explained what could be improved, which I felt helped a lot with deciding the surgical plan.

He recovered well without any particular problems. It was also nice that whenever he visited during the swelling period and asked questions, the doctor answered and checked everything carefully. Before, even when sitting still, he often looked tired or as if he were frowning. Now that impression seems much less noticeable. He used to look angry when his face was expressionless, but he says people often tell him he looks better now, so he is very satisfied.

At first I was worried about having several procedures at once, but after seeing the swelling go down, I feel it was right to follow the doctor’s advice. I once took my mom for a “filial piety” cosmetic procedure, but this was my first time doing it for my dad. Still, I’m happy that the surgery went well and that he is satisfied. It has only been about a month and a half, but his swelling seems to be going down quickly! Haha.
