I Got a Thread Lift, and I’m Wondering Whether to Do It Again

Before<before surgery>After<after surgery>On January 10, 2022, I got a thread lift at Soon Plus because I was concerned about my nasolabial folds and jaw area, but for having spent 1.5 million won, I’m dissatisfied, so I was thinking of doing at least the nasolabial folds again. I booked another consultation at the same clinic for 2/10, but I’m wondering whether I should go somewhere else. The consultation also felt a bit like, huh? During the first consultation, when we talked about the cost, Dr. Im Jong-min looked at my face and recommended splitting 1 cc of filler into the nasolabial folds and doing square-jaw Botox together. So the consultant pushed me, saying that if I did everything the doctor said, it would be 1.5 million won, and that I had to put down a 50,000 won deposit to get it at that price, so I paid the deposit. Before surgery, they said it was okay to get jaw Botox first and then do the thread lift, so a few days later I made an appointment to get the jaw Botox first before the surgery and went in. The consultant I had seen then met me again before the Botox, but maybe she forgot the amount she had told me before, because she said it was 1.5 million won excluding the injection procedures, and since I was going to have surgery anyway, the Botox was about 80,000 won but she’d do it for 50,000 won, and I paid again. At the time I also thought, huh? Did I misunderstand? But after getting home and thinking about it, I felt this wasn’t right, so I texted the consultant. Then she said something like, since there was a big discount, maybe there was a mix-up with the service items, and said she’d apply the 50,000 won I paid as a deposit too. On the day of surgery, a different consultant handled the consent form and pre-op explanation, and I had the surgery. They said it would be 4 basic Mint threads and over 30 mono threads in the nasolabial folds. After getting home, I didn’t count the tiny holes around my mouth, but maybe because Mint threads are bigger than mono threads, there are wounds above and below the ears like when a pimple has been squeezed. But when I counted the wound areas that I assume were where the Mint threads went in, there were 3 spots on each side. I’m not a doctor, so I don’t know whether two threads can be inserted through one hole, so for now I’m just thinking maybe that’s how it is, but the process and result weren’t quite what I expected. Still, since they’re known for thread lifting, I’m debating what to do.
