Breast Surgery Reviews

Revision surgery after 10 years. I wrote a one-month record and update!

Hi everyone, I was going to post a review right after getting revision surgery, but after finishing my vacation and going back, work exploded and all kinds of personal things overlapped too So I’m writing this after a whole month. I was just going to post it in the chat section, but I thought it might get a bit long, so I came straight to the review section!! I’m going to spill it like I’m venting. I don’t care if it’s boring.. Sorry in advance

First, I had my first surgery 10 years ago. I had saline implants, and this year I got a checkup at a breast surgery clinic near work, and they said capsular contracture was suspected.. They told me to quickly go to a specialized clinic for a consultation. I didn’t know the symptoms of capsular contracture exactly, so I think the days I had just casually passed over? were, looking back now, early signs of contracture. You know that kind of pain during your period when your breasts swell and your nipples tingle. I had that sometimes.. But it would come and go, so I didn’t think much of it, and when they said it was contracture, only then did I think, ah, was this what that was

I’m living alone in Seoul now, but back then I lived in Daegu, so I had it done in Daegu. Of course I didn’t even think about aftercare or things like that when I got it, and I think it was maybe 1 year? something like that. Anyway, it was far away, and even back then it wasn’t like I was really, really satisfied and thought the surgery turned out amazingly well, so since I was spending money anyway, I thought I should do it at a famous place in Seoul and went around for consultations again. I looked at this community a lot too, and also searched a lot through Naver cafes, narrowed it down to 2 places, and went for consultations thinking I would definitely do it at one of those two. Among them, Glam really stuck with me the most, so I didn’t go for any more consultations and got surgery right away

There were a lot of extra reasons why I chose the clinic, but to put it simply, first, the consultant was honestly so good at empathizing with me, comforting me, and giving advice. Second, among their revision surgery cases, they showed me a lot of before-and-after photos of cases similar to mine, and instead of pushing me to book, they told me to think again about revision surgery too, that revision surgery may not be the only answer, and spoke in a way that helped me make the right, wise choice. Lastly, because it was a specialized clinic, the postoperative care and aftercare were very well set up.. They said all the staff had worked there for a really long time, so they were veterans. Aftercare was guaranteed for life too, and I felt reassured that if I had surgery here, whatever happened in the future, there would be a place I could run to and receive care! So I chose it

I said I’d write briefly, but it got really long Anyway.. That’s how it went, and now I’m 1 month after revision surgery. I had it through an inframammary incision. I don’t know if it was because it was inframammary, because the incision was small, because it was revision surgery, or because my stamina improved, but I recovered soooo fast! Even on the day of surgery, I didn’t really feel pain. And I washed my hair by bending my head down by myself really quickly too (I did it right on day 3). I didn’t have much abdominal swelling either.. Having to do scar care again and shower uncomfortably and all that was hard, but compared with my first surgery, it was honestly very easy. Before even a week passed, I went out to appointments I went to work fine too and felt good

And when I went for follow-ups, it was nice that the staff always remembered me first and naturally talked to me. I felt like I’d chosen well, and the shape is much more natural than before.. I like it. I think I’ll know more about the feel after it softens more, but it’s already become softer than I expected

While waiting on the day of surgery, just briefly and temporarily.. the thought of removal crossed my mind, wondering if revision surgery was the right choice, but I really think I did well not removing them and getting revision surgery! If I’m living this satisfied, I think I wouldn’t have been able to handle the sense of loss after removal.. If anyone is debating revision surgery versus removal, I hope you think a lot about the possible sense of loss, spend a long time considering what decision would be best for yourself, and then decide!

What other people say isn’t necessarily the answer. If I’m satisfied, that’s enough. I’m satisfied that I had revision surgery, and I have no regrets I’ll end this hoping everyone makes a choice they won’t regret too!!

Thank you for reading
