[Breast Fat Grafting] Day-19 Review

An honest review on day 19 after breast fat grafting and liposuction of the upper arms and thighs at 365mc! It has already been 19 days since surgery!! I had upper-arm and thigh liposuction and breast fat grafting performed at 365mc by Deputy Director Lee Seong-hwan. I had long been concerned about my upper arms and axillary breast tissue, but I was also very self-conscious about my breast shape. I have a pigeon-chested body type and especially lacked upper-breast volume, so I always felt disappointed when getting dressed. I wanted a beautiful overall shape and line, not simply a larger or smaller bust. I was too afraid of implant surgery, so after deliberating for a long time, I chose breast fat grafting to naturally add volume using my own fat. Since I was also concerned about my upper arms and thighs, I had them treated at the same time.

I was extremely nervous on the day of surgery. It was a bigger operation than expected, and I had to return to work after taking only one day off. Right before surgery, I was so scared that I wondered whether I could endure it or should give up. Still, I trusted the large, well-known hospital, and after experiencing it myself, I understood why it is famous. What satisfied me most was the attentive care from the medical staff. The nurse in charge carefully checked everything before surgery and handled disinfection and preparation very thoroughly. After surgery, they safely helped me to the recovery room and provided juice and porridge for my first meal. Since moving was difficult immediately afterward, they kindly supported me when I went to the bathroom and checked whether anything was uncomfortable whenever I moved. I felt cared for in every detail, which helped calm my fear and allowed me to rest comfortably.

What left the strongest impression was Deputy Director Lee Seong-hun’s thoroughness and passion. During the preoperative design, he even knelt down to examine my body shape and lines very carefully. Because I was concerned about my pigeon chest and lack of upper-breast volume, creating a natural and attractive breast line was more important than simply increasing size. Seeing him consider my overall proportions so meticulously made me trust him even more. He also carefully designed the areas around my axillary breast tissue and upper arms, which I had worried about for a long time, so my expectations grew. In the end, those lines are what I am most satisfied with now!!

The initial recovery was not entirely easy. On the day of surgery and the following day, I could barely raise my arms and had considerable pain, making daily life difficult. I was very worried about returning to work after only one day off, but fortunately, working was more manageable than I had expected. I also developed a reaction suspected to be an antibiotic allergy, but 365mc quickly arranged an outpatient visit, changed my medication, and prescribed an injection, so my symptoms improved quickly. My existing cervical disc symptoms also worsened and caused some trouble, but the surgical areas are definitely becoming more comfortable with time.

Now that it is day 19, I can clearly feel the changes!! At first I could not raise my arms at all, but although they still feel quite tight, I can now lift them fairly high. The overall pain has decreased a lot, and my breasts now feel only slightly sore. My arms still hurt and feel tight, but compared with the first week, I feel like I can live again lol T_T. Time really does seem to be the best medicine! The most surprising thing was my weight. My fasting weight before surgery was 57.9 kg, but immediately afterward it rose to 61.0 kg. I was shocked that it suddenly increased by more than 3 kg lol. I was told swelling and fluid changes after surgery could be responsible, so I watched it, and it gradually fell to 57.6 kg yesterday. It is finally almost back to my preoperative weight! That does not mean all the swelling has disappeared, but I definitely feel that I am recovering little by little.

In the long term, I would like to maintain my weight around the high 49- to low 50-kg range. Since I also had breast fat grafting this time, I am trying to maintain my weight as much as possible during the first month for fat survival. I am eating proper meals, cutting down considerably on snacks, and being careful not to overeat at dinner. Even after one month, I plan to check my recovery with Deputy Director Lee Seong-hwan and begin dieting gradually rather than pushing myself immediately. The carefully grafted fat needs to settle well T_T.

This week I finally had my stitches removed! More than two weeks after surgery, I returned to 365mc, and everything from checking my progress to aftercare was very systematic, as expected from a large hospital. Best of all, Deputy Director Lee Seong-hwan, who performed my surgery, removed the stitches himself. Since he personally checked everything carefully from the preoperative design through postoperative progress, I felt even more reassured. They also took detailed progress photos of each area, which should make it easy to compare the changes later haha.

I developed redness and scabbing where the bandage had been applied, so I learned that my skin was more sensitive than I had realized T_T. I am currently applying ointment. If your skin is sensitive, it may be helpful to check in advance for reactions to bandages or adhesives. I also received hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It was a little difficult at first, but became more comfortable as time passed. Personally, I was satisfied because my bruising seemed much lighter than last week. Perhaps because I had more rest than usual this week, the surgical areas also feel more comfortable.

And, of course, the most important thing is the surgical result!! Honestly, I absolutely love my current lines T_T. In particular, the axillary breast tissue and upper-arm line that had been lifelong complexes! I used to worry about the axillary tissue whenever I wore clothes, but since it was also addressed during upper-arm liposuction, my arm line feels much smoother and prettier. I am also very satisfied with my breasts. As mentioned, my biggest concern was the lack of upper-breast volume due to my pigeon-chested body type. After the fat grafting, it is fascinating to see my breasts gradually approaching the natural volume and line I wanted T_T. I wanted a line that suited my body and flowed naturally from the upper breast, rather than an unconditionally large, full bust, and so far I am very happy. I chose fat grafting because implants frightened me, and for now I am satisfied with my choice.

Of course, it has not even been three weeks since surgery, and the volume of a fat graft can change over time, so I need to wait and see the final result. My thighs are still swollen, but it is fascinating to feel the lines changing little by little. The change may not be dramatic enough to make me look like a completely different person, but I actually prefer this natural improvement of my complexes. It may seem like a small difference to others, but it is a huge change for me. More than anything, I wanted natural, attractive lines suited to my body—not simply a thin, voluminous body—so I am even more satisfied with the changes so far. Since it is only day 19, swelling remains and the tissues need time to settle, but I am already very excited for the one-month mark haha.

I had many worries before surgery and encountered unexpected issues during recovery, but I am truly grateful to the 365mc medical staff for taking such careful care of me and responding quickly each time. I am especially thankful to Deputy Director Lee Seong-hwan for carefully looking after me from the preoperative design through stitch removal. It is now day 19! I am not completely recovered yet, but the pain has decreased considerably, and I am very satisfied because I especially love the upper-arm and breast lines I had worried about most!! I will continue taking good care of myself without overdoing it and leave another honest review at one month about how much more things have changed. I hope my experience can be of some help to anyone considering surgery!
