After after after before before hello Somehow, 6 months have already passed since I had double-jaw surgery and two types of facial contouring surgery, so I’m writing a review!! Before surgery, I had severe malocclusion and a protruding jaw, so I had orthodontic treatment too. Orthodontics improved things a lot, but in my case, I still couldn’t achieve a normal bite where the upper teeth cover the lower teeth.. So I had double-jaw surgery, and I’m really satisfied haha
Now, as they say, time is the best medicine, and I’m living my daily life just like before surgery, working and exercising! As for swelling, since the swelling has moved downward, I do feel like the swelling around the square jaw and chin area is going down a little more slowly, but~ It has definitely gone down more than at 3 months! Honestly, since it’s my face that I see every day, I didn’t really feel the swelling going down, but when I saw the progress photos taken at the hospital, I could really tell! And for meals, I eat everything except foods that are too tough or hard! Since I’m in post-surgical orthodontic treatment, there are some inconveniences like food getting stuck every time I eat but it’s still manageable..! People around me say the surgery turned out so natural that people meeting me for the first time don’t know I had surgery unless I tell them, and people who knew me before compliment me, saying I look somehow rounder and younger than before haha When I went for my 6-month checkup this time, the director told me the bones had healed well, and while comparing the photos, especially my side profile! he said, with satisfaction, that things seemed to have progressed well! He also asked if I would still have the surgery if I could go back, and without even 1 second of hesitation, I said I would~ Before surgery, other people may not have noticed it, but things like facial asymmetry and a flat side profile were always such a big source of stress for me!!
