This is the clinic I chose after searching around on many sites. First, the best part was that once I paid according to the initial orthodontic cost estimate (for me, ceramic braces on both upper and lower teeth, non-extraction, 3.9 million won), there were no extra costs that can quietly add up during orthodontic treatment, such as monthly fees or retainer fees, so that was nice. It does take about an hour from home, but since there’s no monthly fee of around 50,000-70,000 won, I thought it was more worthwhile for me to just pay 4,000 won round trip for the bus! Also, my teeth weren’t severely crooked and my mouth wasn’t protruding, so they estimated the treatment period at about 1 year and 3-4 months! I’m at month 5 now, and the crookedness of my front teeth has improved a lot. Because the front tooth was crooked, the tooth behind it was pushed inward, but that one finally came out too! The progress is visibly fast. I also like that Director Hwang always checks on me, and the reception staff are soooo kind, which is great. But if I had to pick a downside, it would be that the dental hygienists are really case by case?… Some explain everything in detail, like “This may hurt a little,” “This is water~,” “There may be some pulling!” and “I’m doing so-and-so now,” so there’s nothing to be startled about. But some just raise the chair without even saying it’s finished, give no explanation at all about the process, and maybe because they’re tired, I’ve seen a few who were unfriendly…
