Today I had consultations at 3 clinics for closed + implant-free + nasal tip only surgery, and I’m trying to decide between two of them. Between a surgical method using septal cartilage + ear cartilage, and a surgery that raises the nasal tip using only ear cartilage, which method would you recommend??
Clinic #2 said that if only ear cartilage is used, it’s soft so the nasal tip can droop, so they would make a support with septal cartilage and raise the nasal tip with ear cartilage,, But I feel like I heard somewhere that it’s better not to touch the septum Could you tell me the pros and cons of using septal cartilage + ear cartilage vs. using only ear cartilage!??
Also, my midface is slightly on the long side, but my nostrils are visible from the front, so they said that if they lift the nasal tip in its original direction it would make my nose look even more upturned, so they would lift it while slightly lowering the direction (all 3 clinics said the same thing!!). In this case, of course they said they would make sure the nose doesn’t look that long (because it could make me look older), but in reality it won’t actually make me look older, right? 1. Closed, implant-free / cartilage tying + using ear cartilage from 2 areas to create support and raise the nasal tip + leaving a slight dorsal hump would look natural > If this is done, there will be a slight step-off between the hump and the raised nasal tip, so what should be done about this part,, 2. Closed, implant-free / cartilage tying + support with septal cartilage + using ear cartilage from 1 area to raise the nasal tip + slightly trimming the dorsal hump
