I had double-eyelid revision surgery today, and I wanted to read other same-day reviews too, but they told me to write a post, so I’m writing this partly to share information with others + kind of forcing myself to write it
My story is this... about 7 years ago I had eye surgery with a partial incision, but the line was made below the original line I had planned A white surgical scar was left really clearly too (when I close my eyes, the white raised line stands out) And it was a double-eyelid line that closed more toward the outer corner That got worse recently when I put on makeup the eyeliner kept getting hidden When I went for this revision consultation, the director thought it was an eye that had already had surgery more than twice..?? Sigh..
When I went back to the hospital for a follow-up after the first surgery, I was told the line was set too low but back then the hospital said it was fine, why!!? It came out well, didn’t it?! they said No, the line is clearly too low, doctor, damn it.. Thinking about it makes me annoyed Back then I was a huge introvert and, in a way, when my eyes were open it looked natural so I thought it would get better and have lived like this for about 7 years until now
Then recently the double eyelids got thinner and it became a bit inconvenient to do makeup, so I had revision surgery I had it redone with the original line that I had wanted during the old surgery, using the non-incisional method The director also said it would probably be best to set it back to the original line Well, as for today, the day of surgery... I’m pretty satisfied, but it swelled up more than I expected
It’s been quite a while since I gave up on cosmetic surgery in my life... so I’m not sure if this came out well Please take a look and tell me if the swelling or the line looks okay..! Somehow while writing this, it turned into more of a post criticizing the old plastic surgery clinic than a review But it still counts as a review...! Thanks for reading the post
+++ The doctor who did the surgery 7 years ago was the chief director and was in his late 30s, and he is still pretty famous on Gangnam Unnie now But apart from fame, I really strongly do not recommend getting surgery from a doctor in their 30s... Even while working at a hospital for about 4 years (not a plastic surgery clinic) I felt that even among specialists, doctors in their 30s and doctors over 50 are completely different in experience and prestige A university background and skill are important too, but the most important thing is surgical experience! (just my personal opinion) But older directors naturally get patients finding them.. Hospitals promote younger directors more. Please make sure to go to someone with lots of surgical experience
