Before/after/after My nose had been a complex since I was young, so after looking into various places, I decided to have surgery at Cheoeumcheoreom! The surgery was done with septal cartilage and a 4 mm ear cartilage graft :)
Actually, I decided to have surgery because I wanted alar reduction, but after consultations with the consultant and the director, I ended up raising the nasal tip. They said that rather than doing alar reduction on my nose, raising the nose a bit would make the overall balance better and also make the nasal tip look smaller. Just like they said, I think the surgical result came out very pretty. My nose looks higher, and because the nasal tip was raised, it also had the effect of making the nostrils/alar area look a bit smaller.
And the swelling went down faster than I expected. After about 3 days, the major swelling started to subside, and by week 2 it had gone down so much that it didn’t even look like I had surgery. I think short walks and keeping my head elevated as much as possible to help blood circulation were a big help. (+ I also ate food with as little salt as possible.)
Now that it’s been 6 months, my nose feels like my own and it’s comfortable, so I like it!! I feel like the overall balance of my face has improved, and most of all, I’m satisfied because my side profile comes out pretty in photos!
