I had cheekbone and chin-tip surgery 2 years ago. I was worried because it was bone surgery, but they put me under anesthesia before the surgery, and when I came to, I was in the recovery room. About a month later, I was eating something hard and the fixation pin broke, so they did have to open it up again.. but I haven’t had any major discomfort so far, and it’s the surgery I’m most satisfied with, so I recommend it.
