I went for consultations at ㅂㄴㄴ, ㅇㅇㅂ, and ㅁㅋ, and I feel like I heard a lot of useful things in my own way, so I’m posting this in case even one thing might be helpful to everyone.
Basically, *My nose is small and short *Somewhat bulbous nose *If possible, I don’t want to use rib cartilage
I chose hospitals and had consultations with this direction in mind, so please keep that in mind!
1. ㅂㄴㄴ -Doctor Director ㅊㅇㅊ, calm-spoken style, but speaks with certainty, no pressure, as soon as he saw my face I felt like he had figured something out, and it was interesting how he immediately started designing on the pad -Consultant I don’t remember her name, bright style, worked hard to understand my needs, asked many questions. During the preliminary consultation, she first told me the things she roughly expected the doctor would say, and almost all of them matched. Including the doctor, the consultant also seemed to have a lot of plastic surgery knowledge + experience and seemed to know her stuff. Much better than seeming clueless. -Hospital atmosphere Overall quiet, clean, kind -Hospital system Aftercare > sebum care, swelling injections, swelling laser, scar-tissue injections; they said they would do all of them if needed Consultation, CT fee X Self-care kit > sterile cotton swabs/gauze, things for swelling care at home CCTV > real-time viewing possible A/S > 1 year (anesthesia fee and material costs may apply depending on condition.) Number of visits > removing stitches, removing packing, removing splint.. coming in once to check progress. About that much? -Consultation details They said the septal cartilage will probably be insufficient, and if there isn’t enough firmness, there is a possibility of adding donated costal cartilage. They said they would correct the length by raising the nasolabial angle and bringing the columella out a bit, and make the blunt-looking part from the front slimmer with bulbous nose correction. Silicone around 3-4 mm would be enough. No need for alar reduction or osteotomy.
2. ㅇㅇㅂ -Doctor Director ㅇㅈㅅ, very big-reaction style, felt like he listened well to what I said, explained in detail -Consultant Again, I don’t know her name (where did I put the business card), serious and meticulous style, mostly listened without pressure, and even when recommending something, spoke carefully -Hospital atmosphere It’s a large hospital, so there were a lot of people, seemed like there were many foreigners too, the lobby was quite big -Hospital system Aftercare > they said they would provide care while checking progress when needed depending on swelling Consultation fee, CT fee X Anesthesiologist on site A/S > 1 year Number of visits > removal of packing, stitches, splint, disinfection and whatnot.. progress check after one month. (including ointment prescription) -Consultation details They recommended using rib cartilage because septal cartilage is not sufficient. Donated costal cartilage or autologous costal cartilage doesn’t matter. Short nose extension is needed, and the bulbous nose also needs to be addressed.
3. ㅁㅋ -Doctor Director ㅇㅈㅈ, straightforward style, felt like he briefly said only what needed to be said and ended it. I don’t mean he looked carelessly, just that he seemed to tell me only the necessary surgeries without needing many words. -Consultant No pressure to book, kindly explained each thing, waited until the end and asked whether I had any questions -Hospital atmosphere This place is also a small hospital like ㅂㄴㄴ, so it has a very private atmosphere. -Hospital system Virtual surgery > interesting.. but it made me look so ugly. It’s more comfortable to think of it as just getting a taste of the nose feel and shape. (You’ll definitely think, do I look like that? lol) Aftercare > swelling laser, swelling injections Consultation, CT cost 10,000 won A/S > 1 year CCTV > viewing available Number of visits > removal of packing, splint removal, internal stitch removal and the like, the doctor can continue checking progress -Consultation details Septal cartilage also seems likely to be insufficient, and there is a strong possibility of adding donated costal cartilage or ear cartilage. The length needs to be extended while bringing it out, but they weren’t sure whether the skin would stretch that much, and judged that using rib cartilage might be better. Silicone 3 mm
