I had double eyelid surgery for the first time when I was 35 (last year). I know this is what everyone who gets side effects from some procedure says(?), but before surgery people really said I looked young.. that I looked like I was in my 20s. When you’re considering surgery, you observe your own eyes too, right? Even then, I had never noticed or worried about things like under-eye wrinkles or hollowness. But right after double eyelid surgery + upper epicanthoplasty, I developed under-eye hollowness + vertical wrinkles under my eyes, and from about two months later, horizontal under-eye wrinkles also appeared below my aegyo-sal. When my friend saw the horizontal wrinkles, even they said maybe I was aging because recovery was so hard, f*ck lol.. But on top of that, my first surgery even failed, so I had revision surgery 6 months later.. It’s been a year and a half since the first surgery now, and honestly, because the area around my eyes aged so suddenly, it affected my midface too.. Of course, at my age, there’s no way there’d be no aging at all.. anyway, that’s how it is. I really regret double eyelid surgery... I should’ve aged slowly; it feels like I paid money to age faster..
