Hehehehehe before before before before 1. Before surgery (hospital visit) I visited after seeing several reviews online saying this place is good at revision rhinoplasty these days. Among the 3 places I visited, this was the one that strongly felt right to me, so I chose it.
First, the hospital is run by the director alone, so it isn't as big as places with several doctors, but that actually made it feel more specialized. And of course, it was clean.
I went in after making a really big decision to get rhinoplasty, so I had a lot of fear, but the consultant and the other staff were kind, so strangely, my fear gradually disappeared.. They kept reassuring me even until the day of surgery.
Still, the decisive reason I chose this place was the director. First of all, at other places, when I said I didn't want to use silicone and wanted to do it non-incisionally, they just said things like, then shall we proceed that way, and didn't really provide a solution specifically suited to me.
But the director realistically told me that if I did it that way, it ultimately wouldn't last long and the shape I wanted wouldn't come out. He said the nose shape I wanted required an incision, and if only the nasal tip were tied there, the nose would look upturned and only the nose would become longer, so from the side it would look like only the nose was long and would look funny.. ^.
Not only did he provide a nose solution that suited my face shape like this, but he also clearly explained the pros and cons of rhinoplasty. And he had tremendous certainty and confidence in his own skill. He also honestly told me to go compare with several other places besides here.
Lastly, because I kept debating until the end about using silicone, the director told me to let him know on the day of surgery. But since I'm indecisive, I was still debating even on the operating table that day, so he asked whether I agreed to him looking at both with and without silicone, not using it if there wasn't a big change, but using it if it was clearly different and prettier, and I agreed.
2. After surgery When the director said it would be over when I woke up, I was still wide awake, but at some point when I came to, the surgery was really over.. And in the end, after surgery, he said it definitely looked prettier, so he placed silicone thinly on the nasal bridge, a little? short? But I really needed to have it done haha.. Even now, people compliment not only my nasal tip but also my nasal bridge a lot.
I had surgery on Saturday, so I couldn't have the cotton inside my nose removed the next day, and Sunday was hard Since I slept breathing through my mouth, I kept waking up, my mouth got completely dry, and I had to keep drinking water. If I did it even one day later, it would overlap with Lunar New Year, so I had no choice but to schedule it for Saturday, but everyone else should check your schedule carefully before doing it!
Also, my skin is weak and thin, and since I didn't even do cold compresses on the day of surgery, the next day was chaos with swelling and bruising haha. So I got startled and kept applying compresses, went outside, and diligently took walks, and after a week the swelling had gone down a lot and the bruising had faded a lot too.
And even then, the director said the surgery had gone well naturally, but after one month and three months, more swelling would go down and it would look slimmer.
3. Now Just as the director was confident, acquaintances with a sharp eye now say, did your nose change? But overall, there are far more people saying, huh, you somehow got a lot prettier? You look prettier overall, what is it?.. It's exactly the nose shape and the reaction from people around me that I wanted. And since I kept applying ointment consistently, the incision scar doesn't show either.
