Eye Surgery Reviews

Just because you had surgery by incision doesn’t mean it will automatically look excessive~ I had incisional surgery too…

Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <I had this photo.. lol this is me icing> After <photo from about two months after surgery!> It’s already been over two and a half months since surgery! The swelling has almost all gone down and it’s becoming natural, so I’m wearing makeup now. Honestly, before, I couldn’t go out without makeup, but now that I’ve had double eyelid surgery, it looks like I have makeup on even when I don’t haha

I had entropion, so my eyelashes kept poking my eyeballs, which was really uncomfortable in daily life. Entropion is usually treated a lot at ophthalmology clinics, but aesthetics were important to me too, so I looked into plastic surgery clinics as well. Many plastic surgery clinics do not really take insurance, but this place said insurance applied for entropion, so I visited! Since I was getting entropion surgery, and I also had ptosis, I did ptosis correction and double eyelid surgery together. Honestly, I did wonder if I was doing too much, but now I think the result was worth doing!! haha

If you look at my before-surgery photo, I had ptosis, my horizontal eye length was short.. and the front was quite closed off My eyelid skin was also on the thick side.. Even with double eyelid tape or double eyelid glue, a line absolutely would not form lol And I applied eyeshadow over such a wide area, but when I opened my eyes, it barely showed..

Since it was surgery, I thought I should decide carefully, so after seeing the doctor about 3 times, I decided to have surgery and had it done on April 4! The fact that this is a private clinic and that there is CCTV in the operating room also made me feel reassured.

After consultation, I proceeded with incision, ptosis correction, medial epicanthoplasty, and entropion surgery haha Honestly, because it was my first surgery, I worried a lot and wondered, “Is it okay to do it by incision..?” but my eyelids are thick, so if I did buried sutures or natural adhesion, I thought it would loosen, so I decided to follow the doctor’s opinion haha

Even after double eyelid surgery, looking natural was my top priority, and I thought an inline or in-out line would suit my eyes well, so I told them I wanted that! For medial epicanthoplasty, I worried that my impression might change too much, so I emphasized so much to the doctor to make it natural!! haha

Maybe because it was incisional, they said there could be more swelling right after surgery than with buried sutures or natural adhesion haha But it didn’t swell up super tight like I had imagined! In the post-op photo, you can see the entropion surgery under the eyes too, right?

So I worked hard to reduce swelling with the ice pack the clinic gave me lol I remember sleeping like this, and my mom passed by, saw me, got startled, and screamed lol haha

Around two months later, I had wondered when the bruising and swelling would go down, but they went down faster than I expected, to the point that I was a bit surprised haha The medial epicanthoplasty turned out so natural that no one would know unless I said so, and my impression didn’t become sharper! Rather, it feels more like round, puppy-like eyes?? The entropion surgery marks have also almost disappeared and are not visible, and my eyelashes no longer poke my eyes, so it has become much more comfortable.

And of course I’m satisfied that the double eyelids turned out natural, but because I had ptosis, it was difficult because I opened my eyes using my forehead and things like that. After ptosis correction surgery, that disappeared, so opening my eyes is much more comfortable. I often had headaches and things like that, but after surgery, those symptoms amazingly disappeared too.. Some eyes need ptosis correction and some do not, so I think it’s also important to know exactly what surgery you personally need.

When choosing a clinic, I think my criteria were 1. insurance coverage for entropion 2. the doctor’s aesthetic sense 3. a one-doctor clinic 4. CCTV installed in the operating room 5. how carefully they do consultations and how well communication works 6. whether they provide good aftercare after surgery.

In reality, after my surgery, the doctor always checked my postoperative progress, and the doctor personally handled all the aftercare too. Overall, I’m satisfied with the surgical result, so I’m leaving this review lol If you have anything else you’re curious about, leave a comment!
