After <photos from before on the day of surgery / after> I found this hospital while searching because I really wanted to reduce my nostrils more than raise the bridge of my nose!!
I didn’t have much experience with surgery, and since it was my first time, I didn’t know where to go. What I wanted was nostrils that looked natural, not too obvious, but smaller. But when I had my first consultation at another hospital, of course the price and the things they wanted to do were much more, and they kept telling me it was a simple surgery. They said it was simply a surgery to remove fat from both nostril areas and stitch them up, so I didn’t need to worry, and while they were at it, they also recommended things like nasal tip cartilage binding and even hump correction.
I hadn’t really been concerned about those things, so just as I was thinking, “Oh, I guess I have to do that,” I went for a consultation at a plastic surgery clinic. The staff, the consulting manager, and the doctor were all straightforward, immediately understood what I wanted, and honestly told me that I didn’t need to do things that were unnecessary for my face, so I think that made me trust them even more.
By chance, the time and date lined up well, so I was able to have the surgery quite quickly. Compared with other hospitals, the surgery cost was on the higher side, but I trusted them, thinking there must be a reason for that price, and that no one wants to have a surgery that fails.
The photos are all from the day of surgery, before surgery and after surgery on the same day. The swelling also wasn’t very severe, and the bruising was barely noticeable and then disappeared naturally. More than anything, I really liked how I looked after the change. I was also anxious that people around me, which I had worried about, might notice, but most people didn’t recognize it and just asked if I had lost weight, saying I somehow looked prettier!!
Because I emphasized naturalness the most, rather than looking obviously “prettier from plastic surgery,” I think I liked it so much. The surgery was done under local anesthesia, and the reason was that during the surgery, the doctor would show me a mirror each time and ask whether I liked it or wanted a little more, so I think that made me feel even more at ease. Local anesthesia hurts quite a lot, but if you endure just that, there is absolutely nothing painful!
