I thought my review of this surgery was like a consumer buying delivery food and leaving a review on a delivery app, leaving a review of a service I consumed, so I honestly wrote about what kind of mindset I think people should have when choosing this kind of plastic surgery in the future. The next day, I kept getting calls from the same number, maybe 6-7 times? But I had important work at my company back-to-back from 9 to 6 then, so I couldn’t answer. I texted them to leave the reason for calling, and then they called the next day? And what they said was
"I’m Manager XX working at the law firm in charge of XX Plastic Surgery. If you keep posting malicious reviews in communities, the hospital may take legal action," so
I said, "Whether you think it’s a malicious review is up to the lawyer, right?" and they said they weren’t even a lawyer. So I said, ah, then you’re saying you’re going to sue me? Tell them to sue me. And I said I would publicize the fact that they sued me. Then they said they hadn’t sued me either, so I said, ah, then whether I post or not is my choice, and if they’re going to sue, they should sue.
And I asked on the phone,
From the patient’s perspective, wouldn’t it be right for the hospital to contact me directly first? They said they’d pass it on hehe lol And I told them to have a lawyer call me. I asked them to pass on that someone who is not a lawyer shouldn’t call me. Does it make sense for someone who isn’t even a lawyer and can’t act as legal counsel to say, "We’ll sue you"?

★ Everyone, please understand that there’s a reason I couldn’t directly mention the hospital name in my previous post. I heard there are a lot of brokers here too. Wouldn’t other plastic surgery platforms be the same? Instead, when there are lists of hospitals that aren’t it, I’m clearly commenting that it’s not them..!!!
Anyway, below are my thoughts and things to keep in mind after this surgery, not really related to the above.
0. Current eye condition - The line difference between both eyes is large, over 2 mm - The line on my right eye isn’t very different from the end of my eyebrow - They said the numbness around the brow bone would come back, but even now, 9 months later, it hasn’t - Many opinions say my right eye lacks skin and I need to wait longer (they cut too much, what did they do, etc.) - I seem to have developed dry eye in my right eye; tears come out sometimes - Current estimates for revision surgery average in the 4-5 million won range, with the highest estimate up to the 9 million won range, sigh..
1. Daily life affected after eye surgery I wasn’t originally pretty either. I know that too. That’s why part of me wanted to gain a little more confidence through surgery, you know, that subtle difference. So it was really hard when presenting business plans or meeting foreign buyers. In many countries, foreign people consider making eye contact basic etiquette, but my eyes looked like that last September, and by November the asymmetry was so severe that it was really hard. Seriously, whenever I went to conferences in the Middle East, Singapore, China, etc. and had meetings with foreign nationals, it affected me so, so, so much. I had to give confidence while looking people in the eye, but my gaze kept feeling awkward and it was so hard that even our CEO told me not to be like that, that there was no need to shrink back.. that it wasn’t my fault.. But honestly, what can I do when it feels true? I have to sell the company while doing IR meetings (15-30 minute meetings where you present the business), and when I was presenting in a one-to-many setting, I wanted to hide so badly and ended up feeling ashamed of myself. I should’ve just not done it. Thinking, what would they think..
Of course, there must be jobs that are affected when eye surgery goes wrong, but you know what I mean. If I had been a student, it still might have been a little better... I thought maybe it would have affected me less... When I think about it now, I just want to physically stop the me from last September.........................
2. Don’t be confused by marketing Even on delivery apps, self-employed owners who just opened hire people to write food reviews to get full stars and lots of reviews. Honestly, I think it’s the same principle. It’s all the logic of capitalism, and in reality I underestimated eyes too much, so I really regret it a lot.
Because I work in IT, there are a few things I know well, and I’m saying don’t be fooled by platforms. For example, when selling products on e-commerce media, they recruit ambassadors, supporters, trial groups, and upload lots of favorable reviews. I don’t think it’s very different from that. I think basically everything used on platforms can apply to any industry. Marketing, slogans, copy, ratings, photos, reviews, etc. I think you have to keep looking at everything critically, or at least from an objective perspective. There may be no 100-point hospital, but list the things that, by your own standards, you absolutely can’t give up on, and be sure to ask every hospital about them. For example, hospital experience/how long it has been operating, whether the director is a specialist, whether they over-recommend surgery, whether they offer aftercare, whether there have been accidents, etc. As much as possible, besides the tiny details related to the style you want, make sure to find and checklist the larger-scale aspects and shop around in person. Really.
3. I think the expertise of large hospitals and small hospitals is separate
There can be good doctors at large hospitals, and there can be doctors who aren’t good at small hospitals.
Based on yourself, I think you need to consider which doctor’s photos look like they could do the best job on your eyes... (I want XX eyes, XX nose no matter what - I don’t think that’s it)
Even though my eyes turned out like this, I think my nose turned out the best it could have in my situation.. Back then I just drew over my nose on an iPad and asked the doctor a ton of questions. I kept asking whether my nose was actually capable of becoming that much. And I think it was somewhat successful... Later, if my eye restoration goes well, I’ll come post a nose review too... sigh.. eyes.. damn,,,
4. Just because a friend did well doesn’t mean I will too That friend might have had eyes that would turn out well no matter who did them, and I may have had difficult eyes that really required meeting the right doctor.
Anyway, no hasty generalizations
5. Going around to hospitals for a third/fourth revision
It’ll be harder and rougher, but as everyone commented, my judgment that it’s better not to go to that hospital became even firmer after this legal notice call! Anyway, if you can recommend a hospital that can correct my difficult eyes,,, I’m sincerely asking, brokers get lost and please comment...
And from what you all see, do you think these were eyes where the line could naturally shrink after surgery? That kind of thing was in the consultation notes?;;
