7 years ago, I had my first rhinoplasty with silicone + ear cartilage, and there was a dent at the border between the silicone and cartilage, so 3 years ago? I had an AS procedure to lower the silicone, but the dent still didn’t go away, so when I asked about it,
they said it was because my skin is thin and they removed a lot of scar tissue. They said it stands out to me because it’s my own nose, but it doesn’t look serious, and that doing another revision surgery because of this probably wouldn’t be beneficial.
That’s what they told me. At the time, when I thought about having surgery again and side effects, inflammation, etc., I didn’t want to do it, so I figured I should just live with it.
But now the nasal tip cartilage is showing through, and it looks slightly indented. Because I keep worrying about this, I can see the dent on the bridge of my nose too.
I don’t have any contracture, inflammation, or any other discomfort at all, and the symptoms above feel like they’re only visible when you look closely, but should I be thinking about a second revision?? Or should I at least get a consultation.. I don’t want to go back to the hospital I originally went to, so I’m asking for opinions like this
